Your business is your business. When you share details with me, I look after them. This notice explains, in plain English, what I collect, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. It follows the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Who I am
Business Driver (Pty) Ltd, run by Shane Driver, Business Coach. I am responsible for your information. You can reach me at shane@businessdriver.co.za or on +27 82 654 0985.
What I collect
Only what you give me when you use this website:
- The Business Driver Scorecard: your name, surname, email, cell number, business name, what you tell me about your business, and your answers and scores.
- Test your goal: your first name, email, goal, answers and result, plus your business name and mobile number if you give them.
- The Daily Driver: your first name and email, plus your business name if you give it.
- Meet and Greet: your contact details, your business details and your answers to the questions on that page.
- Call requests and Straight Talk: your name and the contact details you give me.
To stop spam, the website briefly notes the internet address a form is sent from. It does not use tracking cookies. Test your goal saves your progress on your own device, so you can come back to it. Nothing leaves your device until you ask for your report.
Why I use it
- To send you the report, result or journal you asked for.
- To call you, or reply to you, when you ask me to.
- To prepare for our Meet and Greet, so our time is spent on what matters to you.
- To send you Straight Talk, but only if you ticked the box for it.
- To improve my tools, by looking at answers overall, never to single you out.
I use your information because you gave it to me for these reasons, and because you asked me to do something for you.
Who sees it
Me. Your details are stored with my website host and in my business email, and later in the systems I use to manage contacts and send Straight Talk. These services only store it for me. I never sell your information, and I never share it with anyone for their own marketing.
How long I keep it
Only as long as I need it for the reasons above. When you ask me to delete it, I will, unless the law requires me to keep it.
What you can ask me
- What information I hold about you.
- To correct it, or to delete it.
- To stop sending you Straight Talk. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or simply reply and tell me.
- To stop using your information for anything you didn't ask for.

Keeping it safe
Lead records are stored outside the public part of the website, and I take reasonable steps to protect your information. No system is perfect, so if something ever goes wrong, I'll tell you.
Changes
If I change how I use your information, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
